Feng Shui is an ancient art developed in Asia that allows you to verify the cardinal sectors that have positive and/or negative energy within properties.
We know there are eight cardinal sectors: south, southwest, west, northwest, north, northeast, east, and southeast. Each occupies 45° of the 360° on the compass. Houses have different layouts , and as such, a certain part of a house may be located in the west and another in the south, and the same location may have a permanent energy of conflict and, at the same time, another part with a 20-year cyclical energy that generates harmony.
Time of energies
All energies that generate positive and negative results have different durations. There are permanent energies , which, as the name suggests, remain permanently within the sectors; cyclical energies , which remain for 20 years, producing results in a given location; and annual energies, which change annually. All are located within the cardinal sectors.
To find the specific energy map for your home, you need to know the year of construction and the magnetic degrees of the property's facade.
There are energies that generate health, prosperity, well-being, good relationships, stress , violence, third parties in relationships, among many others. To identify the exact location of these more lasting vibrations (both permanent and cyclical), it is necessary to know the traditional Feng Shui map associated with the property where you live or work.
Decoration
Things have to be placed in the right places according to the energy present there.
The good news is that you can activate or rectify every energy in your home, because each energy belongs to one of the five elements of Nature. If the energy is positive, you strengthen it; if it's harmful, you rectify it by incorporating materials of appropriate color and shape to the energy present in the space, such as bedspreads, pillows, flooring, countertops, curtains, and many other items.
Just like in acupuncture, where needles need to be placed in the right places, in traditional Feng Shui things need to be placed in the right places according to the energy there.
Some visible rules:
In Feng Shui, there are some visible rules that don't identify energies, but which should be taken into account. Here are some tips:
- Do not sleep with your head facing outdoors where there are rivers, the sea or swimming pools;
- Do not cook with your back to a door;
- Do not place a sofa with its back to a door;
- Do not stand under a beam.
